Beket Bukovinska works since 1970 at the Institute of Art History, Czech Academy of Sciences, where she became in 2000 Head of the research center Studia Rudolphina. Her main research interests are applied arts at the court of Rudolf II, especially glyptics, goldsmith's work and the Kunstkammer. She participated on the exhibition "Rudolf II. and Prague - the Imperial Court and Residential City as Cultural and Spiritual Center of Central Europe" (Prague 1997) by presenting applied arts and the Kunstkammer, co-organized international conference "Rudolf II, Prague and the World" (Prague 1997). In 2000 founded the research center Studia Rudolphina and its Bulletin, in 2015 organized the international conference Dresden–Prag um 1600: Zum Transfer von Kunst, Kultur und Wissenschaft, in collaboration with Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden.
